First Questionnaire and analysis

We had created a questionnaire which we gave out to 30 participants to find out about our audience profile as well as what type of genres they like etc. We then analysed the questionnaire to help us understand our audience and their likes/dislikes.

Comparing other A2 Media Evaluations and MIGRAIN

The good blog's evaluation has included  "MIGRAIN" which stands for: Media, Institution, Genre, Representation, Audience and Narrative in their evaluation. They also have portrayed a good understanding of their target audience in their evaluation due to effective target audience research. However, the bad blog's evaluation lacked the effective research and detail the other one did. the research was clearly ineffective , they did not seem to know their target audience's characteristics. They have not included "MIGRAIN" in their evaluation.
We can use the good blog by seeing what is needed to be included in our evaluation and to use the "MIGRAIN” effectively. It must also make sense and be very detailed. Its always very beneficial to have an exemplar work to help you improve your own work.

Introduction
My A2 coursework is based on creating a promotion pack for a new film which shall include a film trailer (we will do this in groups) as well as a film magazine front cover featuring the film and a poster of the film individually. The film trailer’s progress will be inputted in a group blog.  However the ancillary tasks (film magazine cover & poster of the film) will be in our own accounts as it will be done individually.
We will be conducting a lot of research into existing media & audiences. The reason for this is to find out, for example what genre/s is most popular with the audience and also how film trailers are produced.  Through the research will become more familiar with the key concepts. We will need to identify our target audience and find out more about them. This can be done through questionnaires. Research is very important because to make our film trailer realistic and successful we will need to look at already existing film trailers and analyse them. In my AS coursework I learnt how to use many applications and tools such as Prezi & a Nikon camera. By using these skills again but in a different way it will develop and improve.

I have previously completed my AS coursework for my media which you may also look into.
